Bahamas House
The split-level plan is a gradation from oceanside public spaces to hillside private spaces in the rear. Simultaneously, the house can be opened to the elements at the oceanside living area and be completely private at the Master Suite in the rear. The linear plan is punctuated by a transverse breeze-port. This corten-steel clad atrium of outdoor space provides natural light, passive ventilation, a tropical garden, and an entertainment node at the core of the house. The Aqua Lounge, a large outdoor Jacuzzi space, anchors one end of the breeze-port while a stair up leads to the roof-pool and house entry.
